Thanks PostHog
PostHog accepted Syndicate into its startup program. It already tracks our errors, runs our feature flags and holds our support desk.
PostHog accepted Syndicate into its startup program. We said thanks on X, and we want to say more here, because we used PostHog long before we applied.
Errors from the apps and the servers
The web app, the mobile app and the 15 Rust services behind them all send their errors and logs to PostHog. When a trade fails, we see the web error and the server error side by side, with logs from the same minute.
Our PostHog dashboards live in code, so we review them like any other change.
Feature flags and a kill switch
A new feature can ship behind a PostHog flag, so we can turn it on for a few people first. A new way to earn yield on your cash is behind one right now. Once a feature reaches everyone, we delete its flag.
Other flags stay as kill switches. If we need to pull a risky feature, like the New Memes tab on Discover, we switch it off in PostHog without shipping a new release.
Support in one chat
When you tap Support in the app, your message goes into PostHog's support desk, and our servers copy it into a Slack thread for the team.
An AI assistant built on Claude replies first. If it can't answer, it tells you a teammate will pick it up. We reply from Slack, and PostHog delivers the answer to you in the same chat.
Agents read it too
AI agents write and review much of our code. They query PostHog through its MCP server, so an agent fixing a bug can pull the error and its logs without anyone pasting them in.
Thanks to the PostHog team for having us. To see what we're building, open Syndicate.
